January 25, 2023: Abilene, TX 79603 Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) followers went home content Wednesday as they observed their basketball team smash the host Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX), 64-39 in a league game.
In their next game, the Plainsmen face the Wylie Bulldogs (Abilene, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 game, on Friday, January 27. Monterey will attempt to move on its 19-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 11-15 record after their 62-59 league win over Cooper (Abilene, TX).
