Texas High School Basketball - Gruver crushes Bovina
January 10, 2023: Gruver, TX 79040 Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bovina Mustangs (Bovina, TX), 75-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Gruver upgrades its record to 15-9 on the season. The Greyhounds host Stratford (Stratford, TX) to clash with the Elks in a 2A Region I District 1 bout on Friday, January 13. The Elks go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Stratford lost 52-33 in their recent non-league bout against Dalhart (Dalhart, TX)
Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Boys Ranch Roughriders (Boys Ranch, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, January 13. Bovina will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 47-42 non-league win over West Texas (Stinnett, TX).
