California High School Basketball - Central nips Palo Verde Valley

January 10, 2023: El Centro, CA 92243

Central Spartans (El Centro, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA), 58-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Central upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Calexico (Calexico, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a Imperial Valley bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 9-6.

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Brawley Wildcats (Brawley, CA) in a Imperial Valley bout, on Friday, January 13. Palo Verde Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 60-36 league loss to Calexico (Calexico, CA).
