The Central Spartans basketball team (El Centro, CA), was nudged 69-65 in Thursday's league contest with the host Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA)

The Yellow Jackets now sport a 7-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brawley for a Imperial Valley contest on Monday, January 30. Palo Verde Valley will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 65-40 league loss to Calexico (Calexico, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-16.
