Arizona High School Basketball - Copper Canyon knocked off by Youngker

The Youngker Roughriders basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Copper Canyon Aztecs to 55 in the Roughriders league triumph on Tuesday.

The Roughriders now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buckeye for a 5A Central Valley contest on Thursday, January 12. Youngker will meet a Hawks team coming off a 75-62 non-league loss to Apollo (Glendale, AZ). The Hawks record now stands at 8-8.

The Aztecs (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Washington (Phoenix, AZ). The Rams enter the 5A Central Valley contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Washington ran past Glendale (Glendale, AZ), 70-56, in a league contest.
