Moorhead Spuds (Moorhead, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Fargo South Bruins (Fargo, ND), 86-74 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Moorhead upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Spuds host Bemidji (Bemidji, MN) to clash with the Lumberjacks in a AAAA Section 8 bout on Thursday, January 12. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Bemidji won 66-55 in their recent non-league bout against Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN)
