Virginia High School Basketball - Fort Defiance nips Wilson Memorial
January 10, 2023: Fort Defiance, VA 24437 Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA), 47-40 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Fort Defiance upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Broadway (Broadway, VA) to play the Gobblers in a Valley bout on Thursday, January 12. The Gobblers come into the bout with a record of 6-6. Broadway won 57-27 in their recent league bout against Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA)
Next up, the Green Hornets play the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) in a Shenandoah bout, on Friday, January 13. Wilson Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record.
