The Hoggard Vikings basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Laney Buccaneers to 45 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Hanover for a 3A/4A Conference 20 contest on Friday, January 13. Hoggard will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 77-47 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-1.

The Buccaneers (14-2) will now prepare for their contest against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates enter the 3A/4A Conference 20 contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Topsail was nudged by Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 60-51, in a league contest.
