Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Marple Newtown knocked off by Lower Merion
January 10, 2023: Newtown Square, PA 19073 The Lower Merion Aces basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers to 57 in the Aces league triumph on Tuesday.
The Aces now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Strath Haven for a Central contest on Thursday, January 12. Lower Merion will meet a Panthers team coming off a 74-52 league loss to Upper Darby (Drexel Hill, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 7-4.
The Fightin' Tigers (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Upper Darby (Drexel Hill, PA). The Royals enter the Central contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, Upper Darby ran past Strath Haven (Wallingford, PA), 74-52, in a league game.
