Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN) and the visiting Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN), saw New Ulm's basketball squad wallop Fairmont by a tally of 79-47.

With the victory, New Ulm improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Worthington (Worthington, MN) to confront the Trojans in a AAA Section 2 challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 2-6.

Next up, the Cardinals confront the Jackson County Central Huskies (Jackson, MN) in a AA Section 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Fairmont will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record.
