West Virginia High School Basketball - University overwhelmed by Wheeling Park
January 10, 2023: Wheeling, WV 26003 The Wheeling Park Patriots basketball team scored 75 points and restricted the visiting University Hawks to 45 in the Patriots league victory on Tuesday.
The Patriots now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parkersburg South for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Wheeling Park will battle a Patriots team coming off a 60-50 non-league loss to Morgantown (Morgantown, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 5-4.
The Hawks (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Preston (Kingwood, WV). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Preston triumphed over Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD), 62-61, in a non-league contest.
