The Berry Cardinal (Charlotte, NC) basketball nipped the host West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC), 64-61 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Cardinal (4-11) will now prepare for their test against Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Trojans go into the 4A South Meck test with a 3-13 record. In their last test, Olympic was tipped by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 58-35, in a league test.
