The West Mecklenburg Hawks basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was overwhelmed 71-42 in Friday's league battle with the host Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC)

The Titans now possess a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Mecklenburg for a 3A/4A Queen City battle on Tuesday, February 13. Hopewell will confront a Vikings team coming off a 83-71 league win over Chambers (Charlotte, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 19-3.

The Hawks (6-14) will now prepare for their battle against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks come into the 3A/4A Queen City battle with a 9-13 record. In their last battle, Mallard Creek trounced Hough (Cornelius, NC), 53-33, in a league battle.
