Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC), 67-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chambers upgrades its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC) to play the Vikings in a 3A/4A Queen City bout on Friday, February 9. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 18-3. North Mecklenburg won 80-28 in their recent league bout against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Titans play the West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Queen City bout, on Friday, February 9. Hopewell will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 77-47 non-league loss to Huss (Gastonia, NC).
