In Friday's league outing, the West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC), by a count of 41-39.

The Hawks (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Vikings go into the 3A/4A Queen City outing with a 8-0 record.

The Huskies now hold a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Statesville for a non-league outing on Friday, December 22. Hough will clash with a Greyhounds squad coming off a 97-56 non-league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 1-4.
