In Friday's league outing, the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad felled the host Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC), by a margin of 55-35.

The Mavericks (9-13) will now prepare for their outing against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks go into the 3A/4A Queen City outing with a 6-14 record. In their last outing, West Mecklenburg was beaten by Hopewell (Huntersville, NC), 71-42, in a league outing.
