The North Mecklenburg Vikings basketball team scored 81 points and held the visiting Hough Huskies to 32 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Innocents Episcopal for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. North Mecklenburg will battle a Golden Bears team coming off a 83-41 league win over Stephenson (Stone Mountain, GA). The Golden Bears record now stands at 6-3.

The Huskies (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Chambers (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars enter the 3A/4A Queen City contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Chambers triumphed over West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 84-31, in a league contest.
