The Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) basketball crushed the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 48-25 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Spartans (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers go into the Mountain Empire test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Fort Chiswell was trounced by Patrick County (Stuart, VA), 63-57, in a non-league test.
