Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) and the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), saw Narrows's basketball squad wallop Giles by a tally of 77-41.

With the victory, Narrows improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Green Waves host James Monroe (Lindside, WV) to confront the Mavericks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 9. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. James Monroe won 66-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a Mountain Empire challenge, on Friday, December 8. Giles will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record.
