In Friday's league outing, the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) basketball squad beat the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), by a margin of 55-42.

The Blue Devils (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Bears go into the Mountain Empire outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Bland County was topped by James Monroe (Lindside, WV), 66-46, in a non-league outing.
