Illinois High School Basketball - Riverton overwhelms Lutheran
January 10, 2024: Springfield, IL 62711 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL) and the host Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL), saw Riverton's basketball squad wallop Lutheran by a tally of 61-31.
With the victory, Riverton improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Athens (Athens, IL) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Athens lost 41-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Williamsville (Williamsville, IL)
Next up, the Crusaders confront the Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 50-32 non-league win over Mulberry Grove (Mulberry Grove, IL).
