Illinois High School Basketball - Lutheran fells Edinburg
January 27, 2024: Springfield, IL 62711 Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Edinburg Wildcats (Edinburg, IL), 63-53 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lutheran upgrades its record to 9-13 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Pawnee (Pawnee, IL) to play the Indians in a Freelance challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 7-15.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Hartsburg-Emden Stags (Hartsburg, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Edinburg will attempt to improve on its 12-13 season record. The Stags come into the challenge with a 6-17 record after their 78-64 non-league loss to Tri-City (Buffalo, IL).
