Washington High School Basketball - Yelm holds off River Ridge
January 10, 2024: Lacey, WA 98513 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Yelm Tornados (Yelm, WA) and the host River Ridge Hawks (Lacey, WA), saw Yelm's basketball squad hold off River Ridge by a tally of 61-57.
With the victory, Yelm improves its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Tornados host Peninsula (Gig Harbor, WA) to confront the Seahawks in a 3A South Sound challenge on Friday, January 19. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a record of 4-10.
Next up, the Hawks confront the Timberline Blazers (Lacey, WA) in a 3A South Sound challenge, on Friday, January 12. River Ridge will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Blazers come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 70-57 league loss to North Thurston (Lacey, WA).
