Washington High School Basketball - Central Kitsap can't hold off Yelm
January 30, 2024: Yelm, WA 98597 The Yelm Tornados basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Central Kitsap Cougars to 51 in the Tornados league victory on Tuesday.
The Tornados now sport a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host River Ridge for a 3A South Sound contest on Thursday, February 1. Yelm will battle a Hawks team coming off a 68-51 league win over Capital (Olympia, WA). The Hawks record now stands at 9-9.
The Cougars (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Capital (Olympia, WA). The Cougars come into the 3A South Sound contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Capital was nudged by River Ridge (Lacey, WA), 68-51, in a league contest.
