In Wednesday's league match, the visiting East Surry Cardinals basketball team scored a decisive 56-30 triumph over the Wilkes Central Eagles.

In their next game, the Cardinals meet the Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC) in a 2A Foothills match, on Tuesday, January 16. East Surry will attempt to move on its 10-4 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 12-2 record after their 57-27 league win over Surry Central (Dobson, NC).
