The Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) basketball nipped the host Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA), 27-24 in Wednesday's league test.

The Hillmen (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA). The Miners go into the test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Nevada Union was tipped by West Park (Roseville, CA), 37-20, in a league test.

The Bruins now own a 15-4 record. They play next when they host Oakmont for a test on Friday, January 12. Ponderosa will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 54-5 league loss to West Park (Roseville, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 0-10.
