North Carolina High School Basketball - Asheboro overwhelmed by Central Davidson
January 10, 2024: Asheboro, NC 27203 The Central Davidson Spartans basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host Asheboro Blue Comets to 33 in the Spartans league victory on Wednesday.
The Spartans now sport a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Montgomery Central for a contest on Friday, January 12. Central Davidson will battle a Timberwolves team coming off a 59-42 league loss to Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Timberwolves record now stands at 4-6.
The Blue Comets (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights come into the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, North Davidson triumphed over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC), 53-52, in a non-league contest.
