In Friday's non-league contest, the host Omaha Central Eagles basketball team scored a close 53-48 triumph over the Millard West Wildcats.

The Eagles (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pius X (Lincoln, NE). The Thunderbolts go into the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Pius X nipped Millard South (Omaha, NE), 62-61, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Creighton Prep Junior Jays (Omaha, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Millard West will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record.
