In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Omaha Westside Warriors basketball team scored a good 70-62 triumph over the Millard West Wildcats.

The Warriors (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Island (Grand Island, NE). The Islanders go into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Grand Island topped North Platte (North Platte, NE), 51-33, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Buena Vista Bison (Omaha, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Millard West will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Bison go into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 76-42 non-league win over Omaha Northwest (Omaha, NE).
