In Friday's league contest, the host Sacramento Dragons basketball team scored a big 80-27 triumph over the River City Raiders.

The Dragons (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Amador Valley (Pleasanton, CA). The Dons go into the non-league contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, Amador Valley smashed Freedom (Oakley, CA), 69-47, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders confront the Pioneer Patriots (Woodland, CA) in a Monticello Empire League contest, on Wednesday, January 15. River City will attempt to better on its 5-13 season record. The Patriots go into the contest with a 6-12 record after their 90-63 league loss to Rodriguez (Fairfield, CA).
