In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Riverside Chargers basketball team scored a big 61-38 win over the Shelby-Rising City Huskies.

The Chargers (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Ord (Ord, NE). The Chanticleers come into the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Ord smashed Gibbon (Gibbon, NE), 60-33, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Huskies battle the Meridian Mustangs (Daykin, NE) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Shelby-Rising City will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 1-9 record after their 69-39 non-league loss to McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE).
