The Nebraska Lutheran Knights nipped the host Shelby-Rising City Huskies basketball team by a margin of 40-36 in Saturday's non-league contest.

The Knights (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hampton (Hampton, NE). The Hawks come into the D2 District 3 contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Hampton was tipped by Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE), 67-35, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Huskies battle the David City Scouts (David City, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Shelby-Rising City will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record. The Scouts come into the contest with a 2-12 record after their 62-37 non-league loss to Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE).
