The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE) and the host Meridian Mustangs (Daykin, NE), observed Shelby-Rising City's basketball team knock off Meridian by a score of 61-46.

The Huskies (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Centennial (Utica, NE). The Broncos come into the C2 District 4 challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Centennial prevailed over Raymond Central (Raymond, NE), 39-36, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Twin River Titans (Genoa, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record.
