The High Plains Storm nipped the host Shelby-Rising City Huskies basketball squad by a final score of 54-51 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Storm face the Hampton Hawks (Hampton, NE) in a D2 District 3 outing, on Thursday, January 9. High Plains will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Hawks enter the outing with a 3-5 record after their 58-56 non-league win over Meridian (Daykin, NE).
