January 10, 2025: Merryville, LA 70653 Merryville Panthers (Merryville, LA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA), 84-64 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Merryville advances its record to 14-5 on the year. The Panthers host Church Point (Church Point, LA) to face the Bears in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. The Bears enter the match with a record of 7-12.
The Trojans now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host DeQuincy for a 2A District 4 match on Tuesday, January 14. East Beauregard will face a Tigers squad coming off a 50-22 non-league loss to Johnson Bayou (Cameron, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-6.
