The Union Pines Vikings ran past the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves basketball team by a final score of 66-48 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 24 game, on Friday, January 13. Union Pines will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Cavaliers enter the game with a 7-8 record after their 56-43 league loss to Hoke County (Raeford, NC).
