North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Pines crushes Montgomery Central

December 16, 2022: Troy, NC 27371

Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), 66-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union Pines upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-4. East Chapel Hill lost 46-38 in their recent league bout against Northern Durham (Durham, NC)

Next up, the Timberwolves clash with the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Montgomery Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 60-54 league win over South Stanly (Norwood, NC).
