Maryland High School Basketball - Seneca Valley holds off Quince Orchard
January 11, 2023: Gaithersburg, MD 20878 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD) and the host Quince Orchard Cougars (Gaithersburg, MD), saw Seneca Valley's basketball squad hold off Quince Orchard by a tally of 44-42.
With the victory, Seneca Valley improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Screamin' Eagles host Gaithersburg (Gaithersburg, MD) to confront the Trojans in a Montgomery 4A West challenge on Friday, January 13. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Gaithersburg lost 75-71 in their recent non-league challenge against Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Clarksburg Coyotes (Clarksburg, MD) in a Montgomery 4A West challenge, on Friday, January 20. Quince Orchard will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record.
