January 11, 2023: Shirley, AR 72153 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Shirley Blue Devils (Shirley, AR) and the visiting Rural Special Rebels (Fox, AR), saw Shirley's basketball squad overcome Rural Special by a tally of 53-40.
With the victory, Shirley improves its record to 19-4 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host West Side (Greers Ferry, AR) to confront the Eagles in a 1A Region 2 challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. West Side won 75-39 in their recent league challenge against Calico Rock (Calico Rock, AR)
Next up, the Rebels confront the Viola Longhorns (Viola, AR) in a 1A Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Rural Special will attempt to improve on its 2-17 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 3-18 record after their 53-33 league loss to Concord (Concord, AR).
