October 15, 2022: Alpena, AR 72611 Shirley Blue Devils (Shirley, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Alpena Leopards (Alpena, AR), 57-38 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Shirley improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Deer (Deer, AR) to confront the Antlers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 18. The Antlers come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Leopards confront the Western Grove Warriors (Western Grove, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 19. Alpena will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
