North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Halifax nips North Edgecombe
January 11, 2024: Littleton, NC 27850 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) and the visiting North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC), saw Northwest Halifax's basketball squad hold off North Edgecombe by a count of 62-56.
With the victory, Northwest Halifax upgrades its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC) to play the Pride in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 12. The Pride come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. KIPP Pride lost 64-27 in their recent league challenge against Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC)
Next up, the Warriors play the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 15. North Edgecombe will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 68-20 non-league loss to Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC).
