The Wilson Prep Tigers basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings to 40 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greenfield for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Wilson Prep will meet a Knights team coming off a 43-25 league win over Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC). The Knights record now stands at 17-1.

The Vikings (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Jaguars enter the contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Rocky Mount Prep was routed by North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC), 59-54, in a league contest.
