In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Blazer Tomcats basketball team scored a good 71-51 triumph over the Expression Prep Academy Lions.

The Tomcats (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Chapmanville Regional topped Varsity Opponent (, ), 46-44, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions confront the Betsy Layne Bobcats (Betsy Layne, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 14.
