Spring Creek Spartans (Spring Creek, NV) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV), 59-44 in a league match.

With the victory, Spring Creek advances its record to 12-5 on the year. The Spartans travel to Elko (Elko, NV) to face the Indians in a 3A Northern - East match on Thursday, January 16. The Indians enter the match with a record of 7-9. Elko lost 32-29 in their recent league match against Dayton (Dayton, NV)

The Vaqueros now own a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Churchill County for a 3A Northern - East match on Wednesday, January 15. Fernley will face a Greenwave squad coming off a 58-55 non-league win over Wooster (Reno, NV). The Greenwave record now stands at 11-6.
