The Thornton Wildcats basketball squad (Harvey, IL), was crushed 74-46 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL)

With the victory, Homewood-Flossmoor advances its record to 16-2 on the year. The Vikings host Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL) to meet the Warriors in a SouthWest Suburban battle on Friday, January 17. The Warriors enter the battle with a record of 8-9.

The Wildcats now own a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crete-Monee for a Southland battle on Tuesday, January 14. Thornton will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 48-41 non-league win over Simeon (Chicago, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 14-6.
