January 11, 2025: Marshall, TX 75670 The Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX) basketball edged the visiting Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX), 43-39 in Saturday's league bout.
The Mavericks now possess a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to Tyler for a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 14. Marshall will play a Lions team coming off a 56-39 league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Lions record now stands at 14-9.
With the loss, Nacogdoches falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Dragons host Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX) to play the Fightin' Indians in a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 14.
