The Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) basketball crushed the host Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX), 73-31 in Saturday's league bout.

The Leopards now possess a 19-7 record. They play next when they travel to Anna for a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, January 14. Lovejoy will play a Coyotes team coming off a 74-49 league win over Denison (Denison, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 19-7.

With the loss, Sherman falls to 2-18 on the campaign. The Bearcats host McKinney North (McKinney, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-13. McKinney North won 58-22 in their recent league bout against Greenville (Greenville, TX)
