The Swain County Maroon Devils basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Cherokee Braves to 62 in the Maroon Devils league triumph on Wednesday.

The Maroon Devils now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highlands for a non-league contest on Friday, January 14.

The Braves (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights enter the 1A Conference 43 contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Robbinsville was outscored by Hayesville (Hayesville, NC), 51-44, in a league contest.
