Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI), 59-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Narragansett upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Mariners travel to Central (Providence, RI) to clash with the Knights in a State Championship bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Central won 81-39 in their recent league bout against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI)

Next up, the Avengers clash with the Classical Purples (Providence, RI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 14. East Greenwich will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Purples go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 82-53 non-league win over Cranston East (Cranston, RI).
