Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Beal City Aggies (Mt. Pleasant, MI) and the host Pine River Area Bucks (Leroy, MI), saw Beal City's basketball squad hold off Pine River Area by a tally of 43-40.

With the victory, Beal City improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Aggies host Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI) to confront the Irish in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Irish come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Sacred Heart Academy won 39-24 in their recent league challenge against St. Charles (St. Charles, MI)

Next up, the Bucks confront the Northern Michigan Christian Comets (McBain, MI) in a Highland challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Pine River Area will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record.
